Skinny Shot FAQs

Q: Am I a good candidate for the LJC Signature Skinny Shot?

Most men and women who struggle to lose weight are eligible to participate in our medically supervised weight loss program. However, the program may not be right for patients with a pre-existing condition like diabetes, pancreatitis, thyroid cancer, kidney dysfunction, liver problems, or a history of gastric reflux.

Q: What is included in the Skinny Shot program?

We’ve got your weight loss journey covered! The program includes a 28-day compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide prescription, weigh-ins, check-ins, tracking surveys, monthly photo documentation, and a customized weight loss journal to track your progress. Introductory pricing for our semaglutide program is $495/monthly, and your tirzepatide transformation is $695/monthly.

Q:  I’m not comfortable with self-injections. Can I come in for weekly shots?

Don’t stress about your self-injections! We provide you with detailed written and video tutorials on how to inject. But if you’re still nervous about needles, you can visit LJC for weekly onsite injections administered by our medical pros.

Q: How much weight will I lose on semaglutide and tirzepatide?

While every Signature Skinny Shot journey is unique, our patients treated with semaglutide typically experience the following weight loss patterns: Month 1 (7.4 lbs to 22.8 lbs), Month 2 (up to 11.6 lbs), Month 3 (up to 18 lbs) and Month 4 (up to 26 lbs). Our most successful Skinny Shot patients combine their medications with healthy lifestyle practices.

Patients of all ages who want to lose weight with extra assistance from our medical pros are eligible to participate in LJC’s Skinny Shot program.

Q: What is the age range for treatment?

Your weight loss journey will be quick, but it won’t happen overnight. We require a 6-month contract geared toward helping you achieve optimal results.

Q: Is there a term contract? What if I need to cancel my Skinny Shot treatment?

Our practice does not accept insurance for weight loss injections. Some outside providers may accept insurance for patients with a BMI over 30 or a BMI over 27 plus comorbidity.

Q: Does insurance cover my Skinny Shot injections?

Some patients may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or headache. Most side effects can be managed and improved over time. Very rarely pancreatitis, kidney dysfunction, or medullary thyroid cancer (animal studies only) may occur. We work with you to make your weight loss journey as easy and rewarding as possible.

Q: Will I have side effects from semaglutide and tirzepatide?

Yes, while you’re losing pounds, your wallet stays fat! Most Skinny Shot patients enjoy an average monthly food savings of $243.
